Today’s podcast covers several different topics:

1) Keats and Patrick talk about their new training/soft tissue therapy facility in Tempe, AZ.

2) Patrick gives us a review of the 2009 NSCA Conference

3) Keats and Patrick discuss hot topics like – running shoes and over-pronation, posture, low-carb diets, and dangerous exercises – and how individuals often will fall into the category of “kool-aid dirinkers” and fail to see the other side of the coin.

Strength & Conditioning Coach Carl Valle sat down with us to answer questions on things like soft tissue therapy for athletes, low-back training and Dr. Stuart McGill, the “myths” of corrective exercise and program design concepts for sprinters.

We hope you enjoy the interview as much as we enjoyed conducting it.  Carl touched on a lot of key points and will definitely give you some things to think about.

Carl coaches at Excel Strength in Waltham, MA. along with several other great strength and conditioning coaches.  If you are interested in more information about working with the Excel Strength team, CLICK HERE.

Therapeutic Massage in Athletics by Pat Archer is one of the resources that Carl referenced in the interview.  It is a really great book and one of the first massage books I ever purchased.  I recommend it not only to massage therapists, but strength and conditioning coaches as it has a lot of valuable information.  You can check out the book (as well as a number of other great books that Keats and I recommend) in our STORE.

Thanks and enjoy!
