Patrick Ward and Keats Snideman dissect the science of training and nutrition and apply it to real life with the goal of raising the “critical thinking bar” in the industry, both for professionals and their clients. The show will include interviews with some of the most intelligent and often controversial players in the worlds of fitness, nutrition, and human performance.

Patrick A. Ward, MS CSCS LMT


Patrick Ward is co-founder of Optimum Sports Performance LLC and has worked with a diverse clientele ranging from people training for general health, to rehabilitation, to athletes who want to take their abilities to the next level. Prior to founding Optimum Sports Performance, Patrick was a top-level fitness and human performance coach in New York City. Patrick frequently conducts seminars and clinics for athletes, fitness professionals, and the general public, on topics including: soft tissue work and self-care for athletes, injury prevention, assessment and program design, nutrition optimization for performance enhancements and basic nutrition and training concepts. He has served as a strength and conditioning consultant for various youth, collegiate, professional and recreational athletes.

Patrick holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and a USA Weightlifting-Certified Club Coach. Patrick is also a licensed massage therapist in the State of Arizona. He specializes in clinical, therapeutic and sports massage and is certified in Active Release Techniques (ART) for the Upper Extremity.

Keats Snideman, BSc, CSCS LMT NMT

KeatsKeats Snideman has been a recognized leader in the fitness and wellness industry for over 13 years. He has coached and given treatment to a variety of clients, including athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLBA, USA Track & Field as well as athletes from both the collegiate and high school levels. Keats has also helped educate hundreds of non-athletic individuals to improve their health and fitness levels through lifestyle management strategies.

As a competitive sub-masters sprinter (100 & 200m dashes), Keats specializes in the enhancement of athletic fitness, including improvements in speed, explosive-strength and dynamic flexibility. In the interest of injury prevention, Keats also holds a massage license and performs Neuromuscular (NMT) and sports massage therapy. Additionally, Keats is trained in post-rehab care for many orthopedic injuries and conditions. As a continuous learner, Keats also has a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. He has provided educational presentations for trainers, massage therapists, athletes, doctors, nurses, police officers, firemen, and countless others.
